Thought provoking! I agree and I myself, and many people I know have been volunteering at homeless shelters and so on this week to bring a little cheer to everyone less fortunate. I think all western holidays have become far too commercial and it now starts Christmas buying even before Halloween here! *sheesh* Sadly Thanksgiving has joined the ranks of commercial holidays in the west. I think a day each year to express thanks to God and to one another is a good thing if done in moderation. After all we should not just be begging God to bless us. Thanks for the thought provoking post!
